Black Tech Saturdays x MoveDetroit
Join Black Tech Saturdays and MoveDetroit for an afternoon celebrating Detroit as a city to live, work, build, and grow.
This community-centered experience brings together residents, students, entrepreneurs, creatives, professionals, and Detroit champions for a day of connection, storytelling, and local pride. Guests will enjoy a student showcase featuring the Boys & Girls Club, a MoveDetroit Panel: Why Detroit, Why Now, featuring voices from Local Initiatives Support Corporation, Design Core Detroit, Gilbert Family Foundation, Black Tech Saturdays, and MoveDetroit, and activations highlighting Detroit-based brands and community partners.
With sounds by DJ Kidd McFly and a room full of people invested in Detroit’s future, this event is designed to spotlight the energy, opportunity, culture, and innovation that make Detroit a powerful place to call home.
The afternoon experience will be followed by a 21+ After Glow rooftop gathering from 5–7 PM. Afterward, guests can continue the evening with MoveDetroit’s After Dinner Donuts music experience. Separate registration is required.

Three years of Black Tech Saturdays. Three years of community, connection, collaboration, and building something special in Detroit.
Join us on Wednesday, May 21, from 7–11 PM at Parlay Detroit for We Love You Detroit, a celebratory anniversary happy hour bringing together techies, creatives, founders, professionals, and community builders to toast to BTS’s third year.
This is more than a meetup. It’s a moment to honor the people, energy, and city that have helped shape BTS into a space for innovation, opportunity, and belonging. Come celebrate the wins, reconnect with familiar faces, meet new ones, and raise a glass to what we’ve built together and what’s still ahead.

Founders on the Fairway: Beginners Golf Clinics are designed to help you build the skills, confidence, and connections you need to succeed—not just in golf, but in business and beyond. Whether you’ve never picked up a club or you’re brushing off your swing, this is your chance to learn the game in a welcoming, culturally-rooted space.
What you’ll gain:
Fundamentals of golf from experienced instructors, including driving, putting & chipping techniques!

BTS Grand Rapids Takeover
BTS comes to Grand Rapids on July 25th at Bamboo—founders, innovators, and ecosystem builders connecting across East to West Michigan.
Black Tech Saturdays is making its way to Grand Rapids.
Join us on July 25 at Bamboo’s 4th-floor gallery in Downtown Grand Rapids for BTS Grand Rapids, a special activation bringing together founders, creatives, technologists, small businesses, and ecosystem builders from across Michigan.
In collaboration with Start Garden, Midwest Tech Project, and Opnr, this event is designed to introduce BTS to Grand Rapids as a flagship moment ahead of our larger presence during Grand Rapids Tech Week in September.
From 1:00–4:00 PM, expect signature BTS energy with programming focused on connection, conversation, and community-building across Michigan’s founder ecosystem. This is more than a networking event. It is an opportunity to bridge relationships and create practical pathways between innovators in Detroit, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, the Lakeshore, and Traverse City.
After the main event, we’ll keep the momentum going with an Afterglow from 4:00–7:00 PM, with Trust & Tellers pending as the host location.

Join us for our second BTS Founder's on the Faiway Golf Outing at Warren Valley Golf Center!
Join Black Tech Saturdays for a day on the green as we bring our community together for the 2026 BTS Founders on the Fairway Golf Outing.
This outing is designed to create a warm, high-energy space where community, connection, and friendly competition meet on the fairway. Spend the afternoon with founders, professionals, creatives, investors, ecosystem builders, and community leaders who are shaping what’s next.
This year’s outing will take place at Warren Valley Golf Course on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM, with brunch served at 1:00 PM.
