Black Tech Saturdays welcomed U.S. Deputy Secretary of Commerce Don Graves to Detroit for a powerful conversation centered on innovation, entrepreneurship, and inclusive economic growth. Hosted at Newlab at Michigan Central alongside founders, builders, and community leaders, the visit highlighted Detroit’s growing influence as a national hub for technology and innovation. Through meaningful discussions and community engagement, the event created space to explore how access, mentorship, and investment can strengthen pathways for Black entrepreneurs and emerging tech talent. The experience reflected BTS’s continued commitment to building an inclusive innovation ecosystem where community, culture, and technology come together to shape the future.
